In Dentrix Patient Chart, I would like for the <View> button to be highlighted or made to be a different color when Chart Notes have been entered by providers and staff. This would be a nice touch so that we know they are present – and we don’t have to click <View> on every single patient just to see if any hidden Chart Notes are there. I was really looking forward to this Chart Notes feature but ended up being disappointed about it due to this time consuming issue that requires extra wasted clicks. This is a real need so that Patient Alerts are not overused by providers and we can enter Chart Notes for less urgent but nonetheless helpful messages. It keeps us from having to scan all the past clinical notes for main topics, especially in group practices with several providers. And it will help staff know when these Chart Notes are present so they can point them out to the dentist. I would like to write in information like "Rubber dam is helpful for this patient" or "Use extra anesthetic for this patient" or even personal notes like "Patient getting married upcoming summer." This helps form a bond with patients and sparks our memory for things that will make them more comfortable. Thank you! - Lisa Arnhart, DDS
