It would be awesome if we could add the "hard-stop" feature in Dentrix's Family File so that when receptionists are registering patients and creating their Family File, they will not be able to close out of that window if they are missing a particular, required field such as "Veteran Status" or "Ethnicity" and so forth. If they try to close out of the Family File edit screen without entering required information, there can be an alert saying "so and so is missing and is a required field." This would help a LOT! Not all my staff are consistent with collecting this required info and we want to generate better, consistent data for our UDS reports! Also, there are no places for some of the UDS questions, such as Disability or Household size or Interpreter Needed. There is one extra field where it says "User Defined Category" but it would be nice to have more of these or even the fields that are required for UDS up to date and in there already. It would be easier for the receptionists to navigate through and fill out.
