Med Alert review automatically creates a dated chart notation - this needs improved
I would like to be able to review the medical alert section without it automatically creating a dated notation in the chart (unless I really want it to be recorded). This potentially creates confusion since the presence of a chart notation suggests that the patient was in the office on that date. I review health histories/med alerts days in advance of the appointments to better prepare for special considerations. Since I cannot delete a date once it is created- I have to write an explanation instead that the pt was NOT in the office, that the notation is data entry or review only.
