Certain practice definitions (treatment request types/treatment request status's... etc.) may be added but not deleted. Understanding the fact that these definitions have references all through Dentrix Enterpise, and that they may be linked to records that need to remain immutable (for legal and historical reasons); it would nice to be able to "archive" certain definitions so that they still show in historical records, but not in the client UI for new records. Perhaps you could add an "isActive" field in the db and filter to exclude at frontend.
