We need the ability to select a policy easily. As an FQHC we are consistently moving insurances in and out of family files for sliding fee scale or insurance coverages. When we have sliding fee scale as a secondary the claims auto reject out of eClaims therefore we have to add it as the sole insurance when needed and then switch back out to an insurance. To be able to have multiple insurances or case policies within a family file and pick which coverage is needed each dos would be extremely helpful

I am having the same issue. Insurance companies are denying claims due to slide scale discounts showing up in box 11 on the claim. That is the box that lists secondary insurance. There needs to be an option to uncheck the secondary insurance from showing up on the primary claim for sliding scale discounts. Here is the response I received today regarding this issue from Dentrix:
I spoke with our claims expert as well as some advanced technicians, and as of right now, there is no way to prevent the information from the sliding scale to show up on the primary claim. I tried testing by putting the scale as a 3rd insurance, which does prevent the info from showing on the claim form, but then you are unable to create a claim off of it because Dentrix doesn't see an existing secondary insurance.
